Thank you to all who attended the Principal Profile meeting last week and those who completed the survey.  Executive Director Bott said that of all the principal profile meetings he's facilitated, this was the most engaged and collaborative group of families he's had.  Many impactful conversations were had during and after the meeting.  The goal is to introduce our new Principal before the end of the school year.

For those who were not able to attend the PTA meeting, the slides area available here: 5/12/26 Meeting Slides

This Week
👷‍♂️ DISD Bond Community Meeting | 5/18

The Sanger Preparatory Bond Community Meeting will provide families, staff, and community members with important updates on the 2020 and 2026 bond programs. Attendees will learn more about planned campus improvements, project timelines, and the long-term impact these investments will have on the Sanger Preparatory community. The meeting will also offer an opportunity for questions, feedback, and community discussion.  Join us at 6pm in the auditorium.

PreK 4 & Kinder Enrollment Party | 5/19

If you've been meaning to enroll your PreK 4 or Kinder student, and just haven't gotten around to it, join us for our Enrollment Event!  Or spread the word, if you know someone considering Sanger for PK4 or Kinder

This is a one-stop opportunity for families to learn about our school, complete enrollment on-site, and get them ready for a strong start.  Our registrar will be available to assist with registration in the moment, making the process quick and easy.

Families who attend and enroll will receive free entry to We Rock the Spectrum – Lakewood, where the event will be held, so students can play while you take the next step in their education!

Be sure to bring: your child’s birth certificate, parent ID, and proof of address.

🦺 Crossing Guard Appreciation

Last year, Sanger parent Vanessa Cuellar collected donations for an end-of-year cash gift for our wonderful crossing guards.  She's started collecting for them again, between now and Friday, May 22nd.  Here's her message to anyone interested in participating:

💚 As the school year winds down, we'd love to show some appreciation to our amazing crossing guards who show up rain or shine to keep our kids safe.

Last year, thanks to your generosity, we were able to gift each of our three crossing guards $500 as a small token of thanks!

No pressure at all—but if you'd like to contribute, you can send your donation via Venmo to: @sangercrossguards 💚

Looking Ahead
☀️ Summer Cool

Summer Cool is a district program that combines academic acceleration with creativity, exploration, and enrichment while also supporting students' social and emotional well-being. The program is available to PreK-8 students who were enrolled and attended a Dallas ISD school during the 2025-2026 school year. And the best news - Sanger is one of the campuses hosting this year!

Summer Cool runs Monday, June 1 through Thursday, June 25. There will be no programming on Fridays. Program hours are 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM. Families may register for any DISD campus that is hosting Summer Cool. Students must have a valid DISD Student ID to enroll.

Our Site Coordinator for Sanger is Claudia Abarca. She can be reached at cabarcaflores@dallasisd.org if you have additional questions about the program.
