Hope everyone had a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend.  We have some fun highlights and a few important reminders as we enter this last (short) week of the school year!

Thank you all for a fabulous year - we'll send additional communication as appropriate throughout the summer, but certainly keep an eye out for emails at the end of summer, as we approach Meet the Teacher Night and New Student Orientations.

This Week
👕 Dress Code + Spirit Day 💚

Tuesday - Uniforms

Wednesday - Sanger Spirit Shirt Day + athletic bottoms*
(*must be school-appropriate)

🗳️ Election Day | Tuesday 5/26

Alex Sanger Preparatory is an election polling center again, however, feedback from families was heard after the last election, so important updates have been made to the polling location and logistics for community members entering to cast their ballot.
See the excerpt from Mr. Merritt's letter home to families last week:

Key Changes for Election Day:

  • New Voting Location: Voting has been moved from the front entrance hallway and auditorium to the small gym (near the cafeteria).
  • Separate Entrance: Voters will enter through the back parking lot. This keeps all election traffic completely away from the front entrance and will help alleviate parking congestion on San Leandro Drive.
  • Increased Monitoring: Campus-based monitors will be stationed outside the small gym throughout the day and during lunch to ensure voters do not enter school hallways or interact with students.

There will be no disruption to normal school hallway movement or our front entrance. Thank you for your continued commitment to keeping our Stallions safe.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Joe Luedecke, Assistant Principal over safety, at jluedecke@dallasisd.org or 972.502.5816.

Sincerely,
Alex Merritt
Principal

🎓 Grade-Level Celebrations | Wednesday 5/27
  • Students may dress formally on their ceremony day
  • Parents will be admitted 10 minutes before the ceremony begins. Please plan to arrive early, as there is a high volume of arrivals.
  • Park in front of the building or the teacher parking lot.
7th Grade 11:00AM - Do Not park on the curb closest to school, as this will block traffic for early dismissal at 12:15
  • ID will be required to enter the building.
  • Staff will take and share a group picture at the end of the awards.
  • After the ceremony concludes, parents must exit the auditorium so preparations can be made for the next ceremony and the next group of parents may enter.
📦 Uniform Drive 👕

We are very excited to start collecting used uniform items for our UNIFORM DRIVE 3.0!  Every summer, you have the chance to swap uniforms that no longer fit your students and get items for the upcoming school year.

  • Drop-off: May 11 - June 4
    May M-F and June M-Th
Students can bring donated clothes to school to drop in the boxes (located just outside the auditorium doors)
  • Pick-Up Events will be on June 13 and July 25 (additional details to come)
