PTA Instagram - Relaunch

We've recently seen an increased interest in joining the PTA Facebook group to get a sense of the school community, however that page is typically reserved for active and incoming Sanger families.

To preserve that group as it is, we opted to re-launch the PTA Instagram page to engage more publicly and share opportunities to get to know us!

Dallas ISD is holding a Bond Election on Saturday, May 2, 2026. If approved, the bond would fund new schools, campus upgrades, removal of portable classrooms, safety improvements, updated technology, pool repairs, and refinancing to direct more resources to classrooms across the district. Click here to see the proposed scope of this bond for Alex Sanger.

Early voting is open now through Tuesday, April 28. The closest early voting centers to Sanger are Lochwood Library and Samuel Grand Recreation Center. On election day, Saturday, May 2, Alex Sanger will be a polling location. Please encourage your friends and neighbors to vote.

Ongoing Volunteer Needs

If you have any questions, please reach out to Katy Spartz (SangerVolunteering@gmail.com) or Ms. Cerrillo (cacerrillo@dallasisd.org).

All volunteers must register with the district (submit a background check) application through Voly each school year: dallasisd.voly.org.

All Volunteer Opportunities
💚 We LOVE our Teachers 💚

Parents and students are able to nominate a current or former teacher who made an impact in their life - in the classroom or during Specials - ALL teachers are eligible. Every nomination increases our chances of receiving the $2,500 Life-Changing Teacher Award and helps unlock up to 7 awards four our district. We still need quite a few submissions to have more teachers be eligible to win! Students and parents can do as many submissions as they want, and are encouraged to use the prompts on the nomination form to describe the impact those teachers have made.
⭐ This is also a great chance for students to practice their writing and typing at home. ⭐
