Volunteering at Sanger

Community involvement is essential to making Sanger a great place for our kids to learn and grow.  Our school is lucky to have such involved and active parents, grandparents, and neighbors to help on campus.

Help us prepare and maintain the garden through designated work days. Volunteer time slots vary by day, but even if you can't stay the whole time, we'll take any help we can get! Current project - Sheet mulch the garden area, covering the grass around the raised beds. This includes installing a perimeter, laying down cardboard, and spreading mulch at the ground level, around the raised garden beds.
This form is a great place to start - no commitments to specific roles or tasks, just let the PTA know how you're interested in getting involved! We'll be sure to connect you with the right group(s) based on your interests.
Each grade will create a collaborative art piece to be featured and sold at our Annual Fundraiser on March 7. The goal is for every student to contribute to their grade’s artwork, with help from parents and guidance from our art teacher, Ms. Ogle, and lead parent Danielle Kimzey.

Day of:

  • Volunteers must sign in at the front office to receive their volunteer sticker.

  • If you are new to Sanger, you will need to bring your driver's license the first time you volunteer.

Note: Each year, volunteers must complete a DISD Volunteer Application, which opens on July 1 before each school year: https://dallasisd.voly.org/index.html.
