Hello Sanger families!  

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our brief trunk-or-treat last weekend, before rain and lightning forced us to cancel.  We appreciate all the time and effort you put into decorating your trunks to create a fun experience for all!

Choice High School Meeting | 10/27

Join Ms. Anderson for an information night in the Sanger Foyer for a presentation about how to apply to high schools in Dallas ISD.

Applications open November 1st.

❤️ Red Ribbon Week | 10/27 - 31

This year's theme 🧩 Life is a puzzle, solve it drug-free!

Red Ribbon Week is the nation's largest and longest-running drug-use prevention campaign.  Additional information and resources are available on their website: https://www.redribbon.org/.  Our school counselors look forward to seeing campus participation across all grades as this important subject is highlighted throughout the week.

10/27 - Wear a red shirt & accessories + uniform bottoms
"Life's a Puzzle-Red is the Key to Living Drug Free!"

10/28 - Wear a tie-dye shirt + uniform bottoms
"It takes all the pieces - friends, choices, support - to make a drug-free lifestyle"

10/29 - Elementary: Wear a red shirt + uniform bottoms
Middle School: Wear a white shirt + uniform bottoms.

10/30 - Wear a College shirt or your favorite Team jersey + uniform bottoms
TEAM together..."We fit all the pieces together."

10/31 - Elementary: Dress as a character from a storybook - we will have a parade of characters!

Middle School: 
6th Grade - Pumpkin
Dress as a pumpkin or wear orange, brown, or green

7th Grade - Ghosts
Dress as a ghost or wear white, grey, or black

8th Grade Wizards & Witches
Dress as a wizard/witch or wear black, purple, or green

"Be the missing piece" ...Celebrate being Drug Free!

🎃 Pumpkin Decorating Contest | Vote 10/30

Campus administrators are inviting all families to join our pumpkin decorating contest!!  Paint, carve, and decorate for one of three categories:

  • Most creative
  • Funniest
  • Scariest

Vote on your favorite pumpkin on 10/30.  Take home your pumpkin on Friday, 10/31!

Please label pumpkins with your student’s name so we can display it proudly!

🏫 Future Stallions - Open House! | 10/30

Sanger is hosting an Open House for families interested in joining Sanger next school year.  This is a great opportunity for those families who cannot join the school tours typically scheduled on weekday mornings.

If you know anyone who might be looking for a great school, please share this invitation or spread the word in your neighborhood Facebook groups and other community pages.

When: Thursday, October 30th from 4pm-5:30pm

🏫 Garden Work Days | 11/2 & 11/8

Sanger Gargen has two upcoming work days, and we need your help!  We're looking for 15 volunteers each day AND we'll need some additional tools and supplies.  See details below!

Sunday 11/2 from 8:30am - 11am

  • Prepare the raised beds
  • Clear weeds & grass
  • Lay cardboard

Saturday 11/8 from 8:30am - 11am

  • Soil day!
  • Fill the beds with new soil

🧹10/30 - Campus Beautification - 2 signed up so far!  Help keep our campus looking clean inside and out.  This could include organizing the lost-and-found, picking up litter around campus, or helping admins get organized.

🎨 Art Contest - Schneider Transportation | Due 11/7

K–8 Sanger students are invited to create artwork inspired by Schneider Transportation-their trucks, fleet vehicles, or core values of Excellence, Integrity, Safety, and Respect.

  • Submit entries to Ms. Ogle by November 7, 2025.
  • Winning class gets a pizza party! 🍕
  • Selected art will be displayed at school and shared with Schneider to celebrate their 90th anniversary.

🍕 Spirit Night - Greenville Avenue Pizza Co. | 11/11

25% of sales between 5-8pm (Dine In, Pick Up or Delivery) will go to our school!

  • Dine-in or pick up the specified GAPCo location – just show your flyer at the register.

🥪 Lunch with your Loved One | 11/19 & 11/20

Lunch with your loved one is split between two days to accommodate the additional visitors during this busy time of day.  Please refer to the schedule to ensure you arrive on time on the correct day.
