Hey Sanger families!

We're trying out a later-in-the-week newsletter timing. Since communication from Ms. Benedetto comes out on Sunday/Monday, we thought we'd try something new. Also sharing some things posted in the PTA Facebook group that may have come out after this week's Scoop. Frequency has been bi-weekly so far, but please share feedback regarding timing or content - it's always nice to hear from readers. :)

This Week

Sanger Family Business Directory - Due 9/11

We love supporting local - this directory features businesses owned or run by Sanger families!! It will be shared with the school so that anyone who wants to support fellow Stallions may do so. If you haven't done so already (or aren't sure), be sure to click the link below to add your information!

No sponsorship required - this is free to participate and list your business, though sponsors will be featured. Updates to the directory after 9/11 will only be made for new sponsors.

Even if your information is still current from last year’s directory, you MUST submit your information to the linked form to be included this year.

GirlPower Flag Football - Registration Deadline 9/13

As families gear up for fall sports, girls have a new option this year: flag football!

New-to-Sanger dad, Trey Watts, is helping launch GirlPower Flag Football Dallas - a girls-only program for ages 5-18 focused on creating opportunities for girls to learn the game, build confidence, compete, make friends, and have fun. All skill levels are welcome.

The season begins Sunday, September 27, with games played on Sundays. Registration is live through Sunday, September 13th.

First PTA Meeting - 9/15 @ 6:15pm

Join us for the first PTA meeting of this year to share in celebrating what we've accomplished so far this year and learn more about what we've been working on to support our campus. We'll meet in the foyer (open space with tables & chairs).

Translation services available

Make your voice heard - PTA Members vote on how funds are spent!
Membership is never required to attend - meetings are open to all!

Most meetings this year will be virtual due to construction and space limitations, so we hope you can join us next week!

North Texas Giving Day - 9/17

You can help us raise $20,000 for NTXGD by donating today! Funds go to the PTA, and below are just a few highlights showing how they are used. Our stretch goal is $25,000!

Scholastic Book Fair

Book Fair is open from 7:30am - 4pm.
Families may shop with their student before or after school. Teachers will have an opportunity to sign up to bring their class to the Book Fair, so stay tuned for details from your class parent or teacher.

Family Lotería Night - 9/24

The school is hosting this fun event to celebrate Hispanic heritage - bring the entire family and enjoy music, exciting games, delicious food, and plenty of fun!

📚 Volunteer Training - Book Buddies & Math Mentors

Are you interested in working with students to help reinforce what they're learning and challenge them in reading or math? Volunteers can be parents, grandparents, or community members - help us spread the word!

Volunteers must complete a background check (annually) through DallasISD.Voly.Org and attend an in-person training. Additional training dates added!
